Arrancó Chosen Few 2

Following the huge success of the 2004 release of Chosen Few: El Documental, a compilation CD + DVD used by MTV as the first stand alone documentary about the history of Reggaeton, Chosen Few Emerald Entertainment/UBO and super producer & film maker Boy Wonder, have delivered what fans have been eagerly awaiting; the much anticipated release of Chosen Few: El Documental II, “El Tour.” Slated for nationwide release on November 14th, 2006 – CFII is already gaining momentum as what is sure to be another classic.

Subsequent to the 2004 CF I national Reggaeton promo tour, producer Boy Wonder documented the dynamic concert and pooled together Reggaeton’s second generation of recording artists such as Wisin Y Yandel, Zion Y Lennox, LDA, Plan B, Rakim y Ken Y, Getto, Hector El Father, with special appearances by hip hop heavyweights Trina, Trick Daddy, N.O.R.E, Fat Joe, Juelz Santana, Pitbull and Funk Master Flex for another one of kind scope of the phenomenal Latin Hip Hop movement. The DVD featured on CFII, includes more than 3 hours of music, never before seen interviews, behind the scene’s footage from the Chosen Few tour, controversy and videos from Reggaeton’s Royalty, plus 2 cds with more than 30 tracks of music..

Buzz surrounding the sophomore project has indicated that CFII is to follow in the highly successful footsteps of the first release, which received much acclaim as the #4 selling Latin album of 2005; winner of the Billboard Latin Music Award for “Latin Compilation Album of the year” (where Boy Wonder received 2 nominations in this category); spent 23 consecutive weeks in the top 5 of Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums” Chart and 46 weeks in the top 10; and reached #1 on Billboard’s “Top Reggae albums” & “Top DVDs” Chart.

The first single released off of CFI, Don Omar’s sensational hit “Reggaeton Latino” Chosen Few Remix produced by Boy Wonder featuring Fat Joe, N.O.R.E. and LDA, was the #1 song on Billboard’s “Hot Latin Tracks” chart for 15 weeks. It is also the second biggest Reggaeton crossover track in history (2nd only to Daddy Yankee “Gasolina”), and reached #1 on MTV Espanol and VhUno for 6 consecutive weeks. The video also went on to become one of the top 5 most requested videos on MTV.com and was performed by Don Omar at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. The next track to be released off the CFII record, “Frikitona” Chosen Few Remix , also produced by luminary Boy Wonder and performed by Plan B will feature Trina, Trick Daddy and LDA.

On Tuesday November 14th the New York metro market will experience a bus tour in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn while the Los Angeles market will experience an in store. On Saturday Nov 18th the Orlando market will experience an instore as well. All markets will feature various artist from El Documental. El Documental premiere is slated to hit select markets throughout the US.
