Lo Nuevo de Machete Music


Don Omar visits Mexico over the past 10 days, performing to SOLD OUT venues in Cancun, Veracruz, Villahermosa, Cuidad Juarez, Monterey, Mexico City and Guadalajara. The adoring Mexican fans made Don Omar feel welcomed to their homeland greeting him everywhere he went. Don Omar treated fans at the shows with his classics “Pobre Diabla”, “Dale Don Dale”, “Dile” and others, as well as new hits “Angelito”, “Salio El Sol” and closing the shows with “Conteo” from his current album King of Kings. Don Omar also surprised the Cancun and Cuidad Juarez fans by performing an acapella version of the Mexican classic “El Rey”.

The reigning King of reggaeton also made time to do promotion while in Mexico, performing on top rated TV shows Otro Rollo, Muevete and La Parodia and also doing interviews for 12 other TV programs and various publications.

Don Omar will continue touring around the world in support of his hit album King of Kings doing dates in Bolivia, Peru and returning to Mexico before kicking off his US tour in October.


RIGO LUNA

His ascent to the top has been forthcoming, but in the past month, Rigo Luna has risen to the top of the charts in an unprecedented way. His hit single "Nunca" is currently top 40 in the Rhythm Billboard Charts and is one of the most requested song in each of the stations it plays at.

Rigo Luna’s recently visited "Despierta America" and "Al Dia con Maria Antonieta" while on promotion in Miami. On August 11th,the breakthrough idol gave a performance to over 500 screaming fans at the Grand Ave. Night Club in LA, and proved to fans that he's here to stay. Luna continues his promotion efforts with dates in Puerto Rico, New York, and Texas.


TRES CORONAS

In support of their latest album "Nuestra Cosa", Poncho and Rocca, members of the hip hop group Tres Coronas, made an impromptu visit to the West Coast where they appeared in major news outlets, attended SiTV's private anniversary party, and concluded their visit with a rocking performance at The Rumba Room. The duo recently completed production on a new remix that finds them mashing up to Don Omar's hit "Salio el Sol".

On Sunday August 13th Tres Coronas were part of a huge free concert in Sunken Meadow Park in Long Island New York. While the show mostly consisted of reggaeton music, the guys jumped up on stage to a crowd of about 800 people and began to rock the park! While they had some hardcore fans in the crowd, they won over a brand new audience that day.


GARGOLAS 5

Álex Gargola celebrated his birthday at the Luxor of Santurce from Sunday, August 13th and early into Monday morning, accompanied by a group of the new generation of " reggetoneros" such as Franco "the Gorilla", Arcángel & De la Ghetto, Jowell & Randy and Wibal and Alex.

The vocalists, sang the traditional "Happy Birthday ", they participate, in his latest musical project "Gargolas Vol. 5: The Next Generation ".The arranger of reggaetón since the 1990s, when he was underground, tells in his interview with Primera Hora,the best gift has been "to have the satisfaction of having been involved with these artists that gave him the gift of their show.

With regards to Fusion (LG, Audi and Danny Fornaris), Rakim & Ken-Y, Arcángel & DelaGhetto and Franco "the Gorilla" mentions that "these new boys were babies when this genre started and being the new talent they have changed the style of reggaeton.

The music executive, which began his path in reggaeton alongside Daddy Yankee and his buddy Tito "El Bambino" more than a decade ago, recognizes that the singer and arranger Naldo was the one that made the first step with his record "Sangre Nueva", with the concept that the veteran reggaeton artists present the new talent.

"And I followed the same formula that Naldo established" he revelas making reference to his record "Gárgolas Vol. 5: The Next Generation"

The three tracks in promotion of the album "Gárgolas Vol. 5: The Next Generation",, that can now be heard on the radio nationally are "Soy una gárgola" (Randy), "Con ella me quedaré" (Zion) y "Un sueño" (Rakim & Ken-Y).
